How I work with Harvest
Ahmad Khan is part of the University of Maryland Harvest Hub, providing support for Harvest activities. He is currently developing Landsat-based operational wheat area estimation modeling for Punjab, Pakistan.
With an MS in Conservation biology and Sustainable Development, and BSc in Forestry Science, Ahmad Khan has more than 25 years of working experience as a Conservation Biologist, Development practitioner, Wildlife Biologist, and Wetlands Conservationist in Pakistan and Afganistan. His areas of interest and research include land cover land use issues, mapping crop cover and area estimation using medium and high resolution remote sensing data, crop production estimation using satellite data, urban and agricultural area change assessment, and high-altitude peatlands mapping.
