Harvest Partner Presents At Pecora

Dr. Nathan Torbick, Senior Research Scientist at Applied Geosolutions, an important EOFSAC partner, presented this week at the Pecora 20 Symposium in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on Fusing Sentinel-1 with Harmonized Landsat-8 Sentinel-2 for Crop Mapping. Along with his colleagues Drs. Xiaodong Huang, Beth Ziniti, Ian Cooke,  and Rob Braswell, as well as Dr. Dave Johnson of USDA NASS, he concluded that the Harmonized Landsat-8 Sentinel 2 product performed very well for the purpose of crop mapping, with Sentinel-1 helpful and complimentary but possibly more suited for attribute data.
